Responsibilities
- Define the research agenda focusing on AI reliability and enterprise trust.
- Pioneer agentic architectures for task planning and multi-step reasoning.
- Advance memory and retrieval systems for effective context management.
- Build evaluation frameworks to measure agent quality and trustworthiness.
- Ship research to production systems used by financial institutions.
- Build and lead a high-performing research team.
- Publish and represent Kepler in the AI community.
- Collaborate with founders on technical strategy and product direction.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field.
- 5+ years of AI/ML research experience focusing on LLMs and retrieval systems.
- Strong publication record at top AI venues.
- Experience shipping research to production systems.
- Technical expertise in transformer architectures and attention mechanisms.
- Leadership experience in high-stakes research environments.
- Ability to identify technically interesting and practically important problems.
- Strong communication skills to translate research into business implications.
- Intellectual humility and a collaborative mindset.
