Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, and promote learning and emerging technology adoption.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Implement refactoring and performance improvements to reduce technical debt.
- Influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple specified programming languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source framework contributions, frontend framework experience, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI-based coding tools, mentoring, observability, and technical initiative leadership.
- Preferred: experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
