Responsibilities
- Implement modular, performance-oriented Python or C++ simulator features and hardware behavioral models.
- Develop lightweight web frontends and interactive dashboards for configuring simulations and visualizing performance metrics.
- Benchmark and profile AI hardware and serving engines such as vLLM to calibrate simulator parameters.
- Run simulation sweeps that replay dynamic production traces and analyze logs to identify system bottlenecks.
- Document simulation workflows, setup guides, and tool usage instructions.
- Collaborate with senior architects and software teams to translate requirements and feedback into simulator improvements.
- Present findings and tool demonstrations in English while collaborating with global engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with graduation in 2026 or 2027.
- Strong proficiency in Python or C++ and basic web development skills.
- Academic understanding of computer architecture, including memory hierarchies, caching, and pipelining, as well as operating systems.
- Proactive, self-driven, hands-on approach demonstrated through coding projects, GitHub repositories, or academic labs.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a global team.
- Preferred: academic or internship experience with discrete-event simulators or performance modeling.
- Preferred: experience with web and plotting libraries.
- Preferred: familiarity with Transformer architectures or AI inference mechanics such as batching and KV cache.
