Responsibilities
- Design and develop database and data-processing solutions for regulatory fund-data formats, including EMT, EET, and EPT.
- Build data models, processing pipelines, APIs/interfaces, client-facing interfaces, and processes for handling and distributing European fund documents.
- Develop and roll out AI-supported tools for automated fund-document data extraction and data-maintenance support.
- Gather and prioritize requirements with business departments, fund-data editorial teams, client support, and IT, translating them into robust solutions.
- Evaluate make-or-buy decisions and collaborate with ISS STOXX development resources and external partners.
- Help establish the new development unit’s standards and knowledge-management practices.
- Progressively take on technical leadership, including selecting and leading new team members as the unit grows.
Requirements
- Approximately 5+ years of professional experience in backend and data-platform development.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, data modelling, APIs/interfaces, and data pipelines.
- Production experience with AI-supported data processing, ideally LLM-based extraction and automation of document and data processes.
- Experience with XML, JSON, SQL, and programming languages such as Python.
- Proven ability to take solutions from requirements through stable operation.
- Ability to collaborate with business departments and translate between business and technical perspectives.
- Business-fluent German and English language skills.
- Knowledge of fund or financial data domains, including EMT/EET/EPT, FinDatEx templates, or WM data, is a plus.
- First experience in project management and experience in a corporate-group environment are desirable.
