Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end reliability for regulatory infrastructure services, including connectivity, transaction processing flows, and settlement-related workflows.
- Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, and operational health indicators for critical platforms and transactions.
- Lead production incident response, coordinate recovery, and drive postmortems and corrective actions.
- Design and evolve observability for tracing, queue health, signature validation, infrastructure signals, and degraded-link or transaction-bottleneck detection.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity exercises, including failover, contingency readiness, and RTO/RPO verification.
- Reduce operational toil through automation, tooling, and improved runbooks.
- Drive capacity planning and performance engineering for peak transaction volumes and business growth.
- Partner with security, networking, middleware, and software engineering teams on hardening, resilience, and safer change management.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Experience in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering for mission-critical, high-availability systems.
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure platforms, virtualized and hyperconverged environments such as VxRail, and physical production infrastructure.
- Hands-on Linux experience including performance tuning, kernel parameters, and security hardening.
- Track record leading incident response and postmortems for customer-impacting services.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and routing.
- Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for automation and tooling.
- Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana and with distributed tracing.
- AWS infrastructure experience with services including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, EKS, ECS, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS.
- IT regulatory audit experience covering evidence gathering, control validation, audit preparation, and remediation follow-through.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Puppet and Git-based workflows.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted engineering tools including Claude, Cursor, and Claude Code.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
