Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software modules interfacing with UART, synchronous serial, MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire, SPI, and digital and analog I/O.
- Develop and configure board support packages and integrate device drivers.
- Define flight-software requirements and verification and testing plans with multidisciplinary teams.
- Integrate spacecraft components and flight software with simulation and hardware-in-the-loop platforms.
- Perform software design, development, debugging, resource analysis, trade studies, integration, and verification.
- Prepare design documentation, analyses, test results, and presentation materials.
- Diagnose and identify root causes of issues found during installation, integration, acceptance testing, and operational events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field plus two years of relevant professional experience, or a master’s degree in a related field.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance are required.
- Experience with C, Python, Linux, and Git.
- Experience with software unit or functional test frameworks and verification test scripting on hardware platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience collaborating with systems, software, and specialty engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include active TS/SCI clearance, SAP access eligibility, spacecraft-domain knowledge, embedded Ethernet, Coverity, SonarQube, Fortify, RTOS VxWorks, avionics integration and testing, Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, National Instruments data acquisition cards, and spacecraft electrical interfaces.
Benefits
- Primary annual base salary range is $91,800.00–$137,600.00.
- Health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off are provided; overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus may also be available.
- The position is 100% onsite in McLean, Virginia and cannot accommodate telecommuting.
- The role uses a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
- Travel is approximately 10% of the time.
