Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Participate in cross-discipline integrated product teams to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
- Design and program software using C++, Java, or other object-oriented languages.
- Contribute to some or all of a software product as a software team member and potentially lead a small software team.
- Apply open systems architecture and modular design principles, including loosely coupled software components, standardized APIs, and modular system interfaces.
- Identify and resolve operational, technical, and documentation deficiencies within an engineering environment.
- Use technical tools and, where applicable, generative AI or machine-learning-assisted technologies to improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, code quality, and delivery.
Requirements
- Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a similar technical discipline.
- Experience designing and programming with C++, Java, or another object-oriented language.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.
- Experience using generative AI tools or machine-learning-assisted technologies in technical workflows.
- Experience with open systems architecture and modular design principles.
- Experience identifying and resolving operational, technical, or documentation deficiencies in an engineering environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
- An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance, or the ability to obtain an interim clearance, is required before the start date; the role requires a DoD Secret clearance.
- Preferred experience includes CI/CD tools, configuration management, data analysis, Agile frameworks, Test-Driven Development, DevOps principles, and software development across Linux, real-time operating systems, and Windows.
- Preferred candidates demonstrate technical adaptability and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet firm project milestones.
