Base Salary
$130k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build new features and improve existing features using modern best practices.
- Collaborate with multicultural development and implementation teams globally.
- Develop software for users facing unique challenges.
- Continuously brainstorm ideas to enhance software design and development processes.
- Work as part of a team to deliver product features and functionality.
- Act as a resource for other developers on specific areas of expertise.
- Contribute to a productive culture of code reviews and provide feedback.
- Set an example for junior team members in code quality and excellence.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to engineering managers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Fluent in Python.
- Proven background in building quality software for the web.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage own work and surface blockers early.
- Capable of working autonomously and prioritizing tasks.
- Familiarity with the tech stack including Python, Django, and JavaScript.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for public health and international development.
- Familiarity with open-source technology.
- (Bonus) Experience with data engineering.
