Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of highly available and scalable distributed systems.
- Define technical standards, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Design and build full-stack solutions in cloud-native environments.
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, workshops, and client briefings.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions in partnership with Product, Data, Security, and clients.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and resilience for high-volume transactional systems.
- Architect detailed technical solutions aligned with project scope and domain requirements.
- Use AWS, Azure, or GCP to build scalable and resilient systems.
- Produce documentation and runbooks for delivered architectures and code.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, Go, Kotlin, C#, or Node.js.
- Experience in healthcare technology or fintech.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, microservices, Kafka or SQS, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Advanced experience with React or Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability practices.
- Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions while maintaining engineering excellence.
- Comfort engaging with senior client stakeholders and executive audiences.
- Experience integrating with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH, NextGen, Allscripts, PointClickCare, Veeva, or Medidata is preferred.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and EDI standards is preferred.
- Experience building or operating AI-powered tools, applying automation or AI to engineering workflows, and using tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code is preferred.
