Responsibilities
- Design and implement agentic software architectures with human oversight, deterministic guardrails, auditability, and fallback-to-human protocols.
- Build advanced RAG architectures, vector stores, embedding pipelines, hybrid retrieval strategies, and enterprise knowledge-grounding capabilities.
- Develop event-driven digital thread integrations and AI-enabled capabilities for downstream decision-making and exception detection.
- Build and maintain AI-enabled applications using Python, C#/.NET, Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Azure AI Search, Databricks, and agent frameworks.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, monitoring, telemetry, operational runbooks, and production reliability practices.
- Implement execution logs, data lineage, match/merge traceability, interface health dashboards, and explainability layers.
- Enforce data classification, export-control boundaries, role-based access controls, governance-by-design, and compliance with ITAR/EAR, CMMC/DFARS, and CUI requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners, enterprise architects, data teams, and business stakeholders, and coach and review junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, AI/ML, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years focused on AI/ML solution development.
- Hands-on experience with Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangChain/LangGraph, CrewAI, or equivalent agentic AI frameworks; MCP; multi-agent orchestration; and secure tool integration patterns.
- Experience designing advanced RAG architectures involving vector databases, embedding models, retrieval strategies, and context engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one additional language among C#, .NET, or TypeScript.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and Agile/DevOps delivery.
- Experience with Databricks, lakehouse architectures, enterprise data integration, event-driven architectures, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, or Kafka.
- Exposure to Master Data Management, data governance, data quality frameworks, rules-based systems, and digital thread concepts involving PLM, ERP, MES, and QMS integration.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments and familiarity with AI governance and responsible AI practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Azure AI Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
