Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy API proxies using Apigee Edge and Apigee X.
- Implement API security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and OpenID Connect.
- Develop and manage RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Configure rate limiting, spike arrest, caching, and quota management policies.
- Integrate APIs with backend services, microservices, and cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot API performance, latency, and production issues.
- Create API documentation and support API lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD automation and API deployments.
- Monitor APIs using Apigee analytics and logging tools.
Requirements
- 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years of Apigee development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge and Apigee X.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript for Apigee policies and custom development.
- Experience with REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, and microservices.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and API security.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines.
