Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and support ledger and payments services for crypto and fiat money movement.
- Build and evolve bank settlement and reconciliation pipelines connecting to external payment rails and banking partners.
- Identify correctness, consistency, and operational risks and implement software safeguards.
- Partner with finance, reconciliation, and treasury teams to translate workflows into robust, auditable system behavior.
- Design scalable APIs and data models supporting new transaction types, products, and regulatory requirements.
- Write tested, production-grade code and participate in monitoring, incident response, remediation, and on-call rotations.
- Mentor teammates on correctness, auditability, and production readiness.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building backend systems in production.
- Strong experience designing and operating distributed, stateful systems where data integrity is critical.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language, with Scala and Go primarily used by the team.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to debug complex behavior across services and data stores.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes ledger systems, accounting platforms, payments infrastructure, financial transaction processing, double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliation, audit requirements, regulatory reporting, external payment rails, banking integrations, Temporal or Cadence, and fintech or financial services.
