Base Salary
$190k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own platform components end to end, including services, libraries, and schemas from design through production.
- Build composable abstractions and well-defined interfaces that product teams can extend and reuse.
- Design scalable, reliable system interactions and data flows while balancing performance, security, and extensibility.
- Build and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and testing pipelines that provide meaningful operational signal.
- Reduce engineering toil through reusable abstractions, tooling, and AI-assisted automation where useful.
- Partner with product engineering, data, infrastructure, and feature teams to unblock delivery and align platform decisions with user needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in fullstack, backend, or platform software engineering.
- Strong software engineering foundation and coding skills, with Python preferred.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native systems, with GCP preferred.
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and production schema evolution.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Kinesis.
- Ability to work across authorization, messaging infrastructure, and data pipelines.
- Strong product judgment, customer orientation, self-direction, and comfort with ambiguous greenfield environments.
- Collaborative, direct, feedback-oriented working style.
- Preferred experience includes OIDC, SAML, SSO, sessions, RBAC, transactional email, messaging infrastructure, data ingestion, ML model production tooling, internal libraries or SDKs, developer tooling, automation, AI-assisted tooling, TypeScript, React, startup environments, or regulated industries.
