Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate distributed services for Luna’s streaming infrastructure and provisioning platform.
- Build automated capacity provisioning, fleet scaling, instance lifecycle management, and workload placement systems across AWS regions.
- Improve GPU and compute utilization while maintaining availability, performance, and customer experience.
- Own services end-to-end from technical design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and production operations.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues involving distributed services, EC2 infrastructure, networking, and GPU environments.
- Improve scalability, reliability, observability, and operational efficiency through automation.
- Support game launches, new infrastructure capabilities, instance types, and regional expansion with Luna and AWS engineers.
- Participate in design and code reviews, contribute to technical decisions, mentor engineers, and improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications as stated in the posting.
- Preferred: at least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
