Responsibilities

Own and build key backend systems that power Evertune’s product experience.
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and application logic in Python.
Ship product-facing backend features that support customer workflows, insights, and AI-driven experiences.
Design resilient APIs, optimize backend performance, and improve system reliability as product usage grows.
Integrate and test third-party APIs, including LLM providers like OpenAI and Google.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering to turn complex requirements into clean, reliable systems.
Model and manage data in ways that support evolving product needs and scalable application development.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across backend services, integrations, and production systems.
Influence backend architecture and technical decisions that help the team move quickly and sustainably.
Contribute to a team culture that values speed, craft, ownership, and candor.

Must currently be located in the Seattle area and able to work in-office 2-3x/week.
7+ years of experience building and shipping production software for user-facing or B2B products.
Substantial depth in backend engineering, with experience in Python or similar languages.
Strong fundamentals in system design, data modeling, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Track record of building reliable product-facing services and integrations that support customer workflows.
Comfortable working across APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, observability, and CI/CD.
Strong product instinct and a collaborative approach to working with product, design, and frontend engineers.
AI-forward and actively using AI tools/LLMs to improve speed, quality, and engineering leverage.
Strong communication skills, technical judgment, and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
