Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and build key backend systems powering Evertune’s product experience.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Python backend services, APIs, and application logic.
- Ship product-facing backend features supporting customer workflows, insights, and AI-driven experiences.
- Design resilient APIs, optimize backend performance, and improve system reliability.
- Integrate and test third-party APIs, including LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
- Model and manage data for evolving product needs and scalable application development.
- Debug and troubleshoot backend services, integrations, and production systems.
- Influence backend architecture and technical decisions while collaborating with product, design, and engineering.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software for user-facing or B2B products, with substantial backend engineering depth.
- Experience building scalable backend systems in Python or similar languages, with Python highly preferred.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, data modeling, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Track record of building reliable product-facing services and integrations supporting customer workflows.
- Comfort working across APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, observability, and CI/CD.
- Strong product instinct and collaborative approach with product, design, and frontend engineers.
- Active use of AI tools and LLMs to improve engineering speed, quality, and leverage.
- Strong communication skills, technical judgment, and comfort in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Experience with analytics products, data-heavy applications, complex B2B workflows, production LLM or generative AI systems, MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, event-driven systems, queues, streaming architectures, cloud infrastructure, containerized services, infrastructure-as-code, or early-stage startups is preferred.
- Candidates must be located in the Seattle area, able to work in-office 2–3 times per week, and authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
