Base Salary
$96k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze customer requirements related to system performance, security, and scalability.
- Recommend solution architectures, technology frameworks, enterprise architecture approaches, and technical designs.
- Evaluate technologies and tools and perform comparative analyses to identify optimal architecture options.
- Develop integration strategies and validate proposed solutions through proofs of concept.
- Support build and deployment automation, knowledge transfer, quality standards, and transition activities.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues during build, deployment, rollout, and support.
- Analyze system performance and identify potential risks in the system landscape.
- Document architectural frameworks and technical solutions for the team knowledge repository.
Requirements
- Experience in technology consulting, enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, and architectural frameworks.
- Experience with the Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem, including Hadoop, Hive, Scala, Spark, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Python, and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Hadoop architecture, high-availability architectures, workload management, scalability, and distributed platform architectures.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT frameworks for complex data warehouses and marts, including large-data-set performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Software engineering background with skills in parallel data processing, data flows, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and microservice architectures.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, and data virtualization or federation for data products, such as Starburst.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or qualifying progressive specialty experience in lieu of education.
- Ability to work for any US employer without employer-based visa sponsorship.
