Responsibilities
- Write, review, and own production-quality software as a hands-on contributor.
- Contribute to technical direction, architectural decisions, Architecture Decision Records, and cross-team technical strategy.
- Use AI tools and frameworks to improve software development speed, quality, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Implement CI/CD practices, deployment automation, Infrastructure as Code, and infrastructure provisioning with tools such as Terraform.
- Champion TDD, BDD, automated testing, refactoring, test coverage, and technical debt reduction.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting to support system reliability and performance.
- Promote security-by-design and responsible handling of data and infrastructure.
- Break down complex work, remove technical blockers, escalate risks, and protect delivery commitments.
- Collaborate with QAs, product owners, architects, designers, program management, platform teams, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate technical concepts, risks, progress, and decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language, including JavaScript or Java, with strong knowledge of frontend and backend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with AI tools, frameworks, platforms, and their application in software delivery.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS services, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modelling.
- Fluency with XP practices including TDD, pair programming, continuous integration, and refactoring.
- Working knowledge of security principles including secrets management and least privilege.
- Must have the right to work and live in India and be within commuting distance of the Bengaluru office.
