Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize React 15.4 frontend components for cross-browser compatibility and performance.
- Build and support high-availability RESTful services using Java 11 and Dropwizard.
- Configure and tune Jetty 11 for low-latency communication.
- Improve the architecture connecting legacy React patterns with modern practices and prepare for future migrations.
- Design and implement APIs handling complex client-server data transactions.
- Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Jest, and Enzyme.
- Debug legacy frameworks and identify performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience.
- Deep expertise in Java 11, including garbage collection, streams, and concurrency.
- Strong experience with Dropwizard 1.3.x, including configuration, managed objects, and health checks.
- Deep familiarity with React 15.4 class components, lifecycle methods, and Flux or Redux architectures.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Jetty 11.
- Proficiency with Maven or Gradle and npm or webpack.
- Preferred experience with JDBI or Hibernate in a Dropwizard environment.
- Preferred knowledge of SASS or LESS compatible with older Webpack builds.
- Preferred experience migrating legacy React applications to functional components and Hooks 16.8+.
- Preferred understanding of microservices architecture and containerization with Docker or Kubernetes.
