Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Champion secure development practices including threat modeling and code reviews.
- Lead the implementation of automated security scanning tools like StackHawk and GitHub Advanced Security.
- Maintain core security infrastructure and serve as a trusted advisor in architecture discussions.
- Own the IAM security strategy across cloud and internal tools, enforcing least-privilege principles.
- Design and execute threat modeling exercises and oversee red team assessments.
- Serve as the first responder for security incidents and evolve incident response playbooks.
- Partner with IT and Compliance to support SOC 2, FERPA, and COPPA programs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in application or cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling, particularly StackHawk and GitHub Advanced Security.
- Strong experience in threat modeling using formal frameworks.
- Ability to work directly with engineering teams and embed security into development workflows.
- Experience securing AI-powered products and understanding their unique threat surfaces.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex security topics for diverse stakeholders.
