Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own complex technical evaluations for strategic new and existing accounts through discovery, workshops, solution design, and technical win plans.
- Design and present multi-system architectures showing how Apollo’s supergraph, GraphOS, and tooling fit into modern cloud-native environments.
- Lead value-focused demos and proofs of concept for technical and executive audiences.
- Identify and resolve security, compliance, integration, and performance blockers while partnering with AEs on value-based selling and close strategy.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering throughout the account lifecycle and provide field insight for roadmap and positioning.
- Create reusable reference architectures, playbooks, and patterns for the broader team.
- Mentor junior Solutions Engineers and use AI-augmented and agentic/MCP-based workflows to improve discovery, architecture design, and demo or PoC execution.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in pre-sales Solutions Engineering or an equivalent technical customer-facing role involving complex B2B SaaS or infrastructure products.
- Deep expertise in APIs, integrations, and working with both API producers and consumers across existing architectures and tool stacks.
- Strong architecture and integration skills across modern web and cloud environments, including REST, GraphQL, identity and security, and multi-system data flows.
- Proven experience owning complex technical evaluations end to end, including discovery, solution design, PoC implementation guidance, objection handling, and technical wins for enterprise or upper-mid-market accounts.
- Executive-level communication and storytelling skills for developers, architects, product leaders, and senior executives.
- Fluency in sales processes and value-based selling, including MEDDPICC and collaboration with AEs and CS.
- Collaborative working style with experience mentoring less-tenured Solutions Engineers and creating reusable assets.
- Hands-on GraphQL experience with schema design, federation, or production GraphQL services is preferred.
- Software engineering or architecture background, including the ability to read code and reason about performance and scalability trade-offs, is preferred.
- Experience selling or implementing developer-focused platforms such as APIs, integration platforms, data and analytics, observability, or adjacent infrastructure is preferred.
- Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and networking topics such as SSO, RBAC, data residency, SOC 2, and VPC/networking patterns is preferred.
- Experience contributing to content, enablement, go-to-market strategy, or AI/agentic tooling in fast-moving environments is preferred.
