Responsibilities
- Analyze large amounts of data to identify threats and develop real-time detection algorithms.
- Research and develop email threat detections for evolving attack vectors.
- Build and train machine learning classifiers for Barracuda email protection products.
- Evaluate and continuously optimize algorithm performance.
- Collaborate with machine learning and software engineers to scale algorithms and deploy them to production.
- Use AI capabilities to accelerate detection-solution delivery.
- Communicate security risks and required remediations clearly in writing and verbally.
- Work independently and collaboratively on specialized assignments.
- Mentor other team members and serve as a leader within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience creating and maintaining machine learning models.
- Production experience developing machine learning algorithms that solve practical problems.
- At least 2 years of experience analyzing large structured and unstructured data using Python or other relevant languages.
- Strong understanding of probability and supervised and unsupervised learning.
- Experience with Databricks and SQL.
- Cloud architecture experience with AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Deep learning experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with MLflow for model deployment and inference is a plus.
- Experience with Identity Access Graph, knowledge graphs, or graph modeling is a plus.
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
- Experience using AI features for model inference, LLMs, RAG systems, and evaluation frameworks is a plus.
- Strong ownership, collaboration, communication, and customer focus.
