Responsibilities
- Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines for network testing, digital-twin validation, and zero-downtime configuration deployment.
- Establish Network-as-Code, GitOps, source control, and reusable network automation frameworks at global scale.
- Design and optimize software-defined networks, overlay networks, and container networking across cloud and bare-metal environments.
- Serve as the Tier 4 technical authority for complex network, routing, overlay, and production issues.
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code, security validation, telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation systems.
- Lead automation for firewalls, load balancers, security groups, ACLs, routing tables, and traffic-management policies.
- Develop network validation suites and code-based infrastructure documentation.
- Mentor engineers, lead design review boards, and drive cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, or SRE, focused on large-scale network design, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Expert proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and network automation libraries such as Netmiko, Nornir, or NAPALM.
- Deep expertise in software-defined networking, overlays, VXLAN, OVN, and Project Calico.
- Advanced enterprise Kubernetes networking experience, including CNIs, Ingress controllers, Service Mesh, and Kube-Proxy behavior.
- Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus, Arista, Versa SD-WAN, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
- Experience with F5 BIG-IP AS3, Cloudflare APIs, and Octavia LBaaS for application delivery and load balancing.
- Deep Linux networking knowledge, including network namespaces, virtual interfaces, eBPF, iptables, and kernel-level routing.
- CCIE-level or equivalent knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and EVPN, plus physical-underlay and virtual-overlay networking.
- Experience scaling CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions and implementing infrastructure testing practices.
- Advanced packet analysis and observability experience with tcpdump, Wireshark, NetFlow, and log aggregation platforms.
- Proven technical leadership, mentoring, design review, troubleshooting, and executive communication skills.
- Telecommunications experience with VoIP, RTP, SIP peering or trunking, and Session Border Controllers is highly advantageous.
