Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available and fault-tolerant infrastructure and platforms in Microsoft Azure.
- Provision and maintain global infrastructure deployments using modular Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
- Manage, secure, and scale production Kubernetes clusters, including AKS, ingress controllers, Helm charts, stateful sets, and cluster security.
- Automate manual operational tasks, self-healing systems, and CI/CD pipelines to reduce toil.
- Lead incident response, participate in an on-call rotation, and drive blameless postmortems.
- Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets with development teams.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience designing, provisioning, securing, and maintaining scalable Microsoft Azure environments, including services such as AKS, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps.
- Proven experience writing clean, modular, and reusable Terraform Infrastructure as Code modules.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and production administration, including ingress controllers, Helm charts, stateful sets, and cluster security.
- Proficiency with Bash and at least one programming language such as Python or Go, along with modern CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including DNS, routing, load balancers, and VPNs, as well as identity management, secret management, and least-privilege access.
- Experience with New Relic or Datadog, GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, or configuration management tools such as Ansible is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate are advantageous.
