Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions and cloud-native microservices-based applications.
- Build reliable systems using domain modeling, scalable architectural patterns, resiliency practices, and zero-downtime release approaches.
- Develop and review production code, debug issues, and improve application operational stability through automation and remediation.
- Lead communities of practice and drive adoption of new technologies, approved AI-assisted engineering tools, and effective engineering patterns.
- Establish validation standards for AI-assisted development outputs, including correctness, performance, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
- Coach engineers on responsible and compliant use of AI-assisted software development practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational support.
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Python, Spring Boot, and Node.js, with experience building microservices-based applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, distributed systems, web technologies, RESTful APIs, web services, WebSockets, and JSON.
- Hands-on experience designing scalable applications with SQL and NoSQL databases and understanding application resiliency.
- Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods and advanced understanding of software security and application resiliency practices.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, mentoring, stakeholder management, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Experience in the banking domain and AWS certification are preferred.
