Base Salary

$82k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design trades to support system designs.
  • Design autonomy, motion-planning, trajectory-optimization, control, and resource-allocation algorithms.
  • Develop embedded software based on prototype algorithms.
  • Analyze designs to demonstrate performance and functionality.
  • Develop and execute software tests to verify compliance with requirements.
  • Evaluate results, identify problem causes, and develop solutions for inefficient or problematic designs.
  • Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other documentation.
  • Communicate with customers and stakeholders to establish requirements and explain designs and deliverables.
  • Track priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Clearly communicate work assignments to team members and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 5–10 years of software engineering or related experience is required.
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C/C++.
  • Expertise or strong knowledge in task and motion planning, robotics-platform integration and testing, hybrid deterministic and AI-based autonomy, and optimization or resource allocation for large teams of teams.
  • Knowledge of autonomy and GNC algorithms, real-time software development tools, and real-time algorithm and software validation.
  • Familiarity with trajectory optimization, optimal control, control-system design and analysis, and trajectory design or optimization algorithms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project-execution, teamwork, written-communication, and verbal-communication skills.
  • Master's degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
