Base Salary
$82k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design tradeoffs.
- Design autonomy, control, planning, and optimization algorithms.
- Develop embedded software based on prototype algorithms.
- Analyze designs and demonstrate performance and functionality.
- Develop and execute software tests for requirements compliance.
- Evaluate results, identify causes of problems or inefficiencies, and develop solutions.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other documentation.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Track project priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C/C++.
- Knowledge of autonomy and GNC algorithms, real-time software development tools, and real-time algorithm and software validation.
- Familiarity with trajectory optimization, optimal control, and related techniques.
- Significant knowledge of control-system design and analysis and trajectory design or optimization algorithms.
- Preferred expertise in task and motion planning, robotics-platform integration and testing, hybrid deterministic and AI-based autonomy, and optimization and resource allocation for large teams of teams.
- Master's or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- Applicants selected must obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project execution, and teamwork skills.
