Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Deploy, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters using related technologies such as Docker and Helm.
- Develop automated tools and processes for building, deployment, monitoring, testing, and infrastructure and application maintenance.
- Develop and maintain security, compliance, and disaster recovery policies and procedures.
- Optimize infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Manage and mentor junior DevOps engineers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a DevOps-focused role and participation in developing new software products and enhancements.
- Experience developing and deploying secure products using appropriate technologies and patterns.
- Familiarity with cloud concepts and technologies.
- Experience designing and operating highly available shared solutions.
- Experience working with high-level internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with some of GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Packer, Vault, Serverless, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Artifactory, and Nexus.
- Ideally, current high-level security clearance; qualification requires being a British passport holder and having lived permanently in the UK for the last five years.
- Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
