Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of applications using Java, Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
- Design and implement scalable, highly available distributed systems and high-performance applications.
- Design and deliver AWS cloud and serverless solutions.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and management using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Apply Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Implement New Relic observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote engineering best practices, technical excellence, and innovation.
- Design and implement secure, reliable, and compliant John Deere Financial credit solutions.
- Design and implement SQL and NoSQL database solutions for efficient and scalable data access.
- Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced English proficiency sufficient to lead meetings, negotiate, argue technical points, and conduct training sessions.
- Strong proficiency in Java, React.js, and Node.js.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems and working with AWS cloud services and serverless solutions.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
- Strong knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end software testing practices.
- Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience with New Relic and observability or monitoring tools.
- Proven experience leading or contributing to complex software projects.
- Ability to design, innovate, implement effective technical solutions, mentor colleagues, and work in Agile cross-functional environments.
