Responsibilities
- Install and implement monitoring software directly for customers.
- Manage equipment lists and gather equipment information for assigned projects.
- Work with sales to scope and quote projects and assist with licensing and upgrades.
- Create templates for Vertiv and third-party cooling, power, environmental, and other monitored equipment.
- Manage template libraries and assist with testing and development for new software releases.
- Track and resolve field issues related to software development.
- Provide domestic and international technical assistance as an escalation contact.
- Create and maintain technical support documentation for Environet products.
- Provide feedback to product management and participate in procedures, meetings, training, and continuous-improvement activities.
Requirements
- A BS in Computer Science or a similar computer science degree is preferred, or equivalent training and experience.
- At least four years of equivalent industry experience in BMS systems, electronic monitoring systems, protocols and integration, computer networks, database administration, or software support.
- At least three years of experience interacting with customers in a support role; technical support experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Server 2016, current operating systems, Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Understanding of network devices, LANs, WANs, VPNs, RDP, WebEx, other remote-access tools, and protocols including Modbus, RS232, RS422, RS485, ARCnet, BACnet, LON, and SNMP.
- Experience with schematics and wiring diagrams, troubleshooting, technical documentation, customer interaction, and managing multiple projects or issues.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
