Responsibilities

  • Install and implement software monitoring solutions directly with customers.
  • Manage equipment lists, gather equipment information, and support project scoping and quoting with sales.
  • Assist with software licensing, upgrades, and implementation procedures.
  • Create and maintain templates for Vertiv and third-party cooling, power, environmental, and other monitored equipment.
  • Manage template libraries and participate in new-device monitoring meetings.
  • Assist with testing and development of software releases and resolve field issues related to development.
  • Create and maintain technical support documentation for Environet products.
  • Provide domestic and international technical assistance and act as an escalation contact.
  • Provide feedback to product management and participate in recurring meetings and training.
  • Monitor new products, environments, revisions, updates, and upgrades that may affect product operation.

Requirements

  • At least four years of equivalent industry experience in BMS systems, electronic monitoring systems, protocols and integration, computer-based networks, database administration, or software support.
  • At least three years of experience interacting with customers in a support role; technical support experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field is preferred, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience working directly with hardware and/or software systems in data center or other high-availability environments.
  • Experience interacting with customers in a technical role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Vertiv monitoring products and services or similar monitoring systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, writing, verbal communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of PCs, operating systems, data communications, network devices, LANs, WANs, VPNs, remote access tools, and key integration protocols.
  • Experience with schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and issues, work independently, interact with organizational and customer stakeholders, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
