Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end SAP solutions combining core ABAP components with generative AI capabilities.
- Design and execute SAP technical upgrade strategies, including impact analysis, retrofit planning, cutover preparation, performance optimization, and backward compatibility.
- Develop and govern ABAP AMDP patterns for data-intensive processing and complex business logic.
- Create secure and reliable ABAP web services connecting SAP with external systems.
- Engineer and enhance WebDynpro for ABAP user interfaces for complex transactional workflows.
- Define ABAP architecture, modular design guidelines, code-quality standards, and performance optimization practices.
- Integrate generative AI components into SAP processes for intelligent automation, contextual insights, and decision support.
- Translate clinical informatics and regulatory compliance requirements into SAP and ABAP architecture.
- Review technical designs, solution blueprints, upgrade plans, and architectural documentation.
- Guide troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for high-impact incidents.
- Embed privacy controls, audit readiness, traceability, and data-integrity measures into SAP architectures.
- Document architectural decisions, patterns, and reference solutions in English.
Requirements
- Eight to twelve years of progressive hands-on experience in core ABAP development, including performance tuning, modular design, and enhancement frameworks.
- Proven experience planning and executing SAP technical upgrades for mission-critical landscapes.
- Deep knowledge of ABAP AMDP and modern database features for high-performance data processing.
- Practical experience creating secure, reliable, standards-based ABAP web services.
- Strong proficiency with WebDynpro for ABAP and complex transactional user interfaces.
- Core knowledge of generative AI concepts and tools for SAP solution design.
- Familiarity with clinical informatics and regulatory compliance is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Fluent English reading and writing skills for technical documentation and remote collaboration.
- Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP, SAP Certified Technology Professional, and a recognized generative AI practitioner certification.
