Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate core services, APIs, and automation for Adyen’s internal cloud platform.
- Bridge public cloud providers and on-premises infrastructure into a unified environment.
- Use Terraform or Pulumi to declaratively manage platform resources.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable, and safe platform deployments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate customer needs into scalable, self-service platform features.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and maintain platform availability and performance.
- Participate in a blameless on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Go or Python for building APIs, services, and automation.
- Proven experience building and maintaining distributed systems and designing and building end-to-end systems.
- Strong understanding of API design principles, including REST and gRPC.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization frameworks and standards.
- Experience in infrastructure platform roles such as DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with on-premises environments, including virtualization, networking concepts, and server hardware.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and a security-first approach to system design.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, is preferred.
