Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and optimize resilient, high-throughput market data engines, curve builders, pricing integration layers, and real-time distribution services.
- Design modular APIs and event-driven architectures using Java, Python, or .NET/C# ecosystems.
- Deliver reliable tick, end-of-day, and historical market data feeds to pricing libraries and trading applications.
- Partner with front-office traders, quantitative analysts, risk managers, and operations to translate business requirements into production-ready software.
- Integrate pricing models, risk calculators, and real-time analytics with quantitative analysis teams.
- Prototype Generative AI and agentic workflows for code review, workflow orchestration, anomaly detection, market data validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and developer tooling.
- Own delivery from requirements analysis and technical design through deployment, production monitoring, and support.
- Drive testing, CI/CD, containerization, observability, and low-latency performance tuning practices.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Java, Python, or .NET/C# with relevant concurrency, asynchronous programming, performance tuning, or memory-management expertise.
- Strong experience with enterprise messaging and streaming frameworks such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, ZeroMQ, or gRPC.
- Proficiency with relational databases and time-series or caching technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Redis, InfluxDB, or KDB+/q.
- Practical experience with Git, CI/CD automation, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and Linux.
- Familiarity with LLMs, Generative AI tools, and agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, MCP tools, or automated coding agents.
- Experience in a Tier-1 investment bank, hedge fund, or major financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of Commodities or adjacent FX, Rates, or Equities products and market data fundamentals including tick data, exchange connectivity, forward curves, volatilities, and reference data feeds.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, ownership, problem-solving, and agility in a fast-paced front-office environment.
