Base Salary
$88k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Direct autonomous coding agents by decomposing production work into executable tasks and integrating their output into shipped software.
- Review agent-generated pull requests at high volume and depth, identifying correctness, security, and accessibility defects.
- Author and own evaluation suites that measure the quality and correctness of team deliverables.
- Own correctness, performance, security posture, and WCAG accessibility for shipped software.
- Advance or revert workstreams on the autonomy ladder based on measured reliability.
- Improve prompts, patterns, pipeline components, and lifecycle standards with the lead architect.
- Maintain agent operations within the required security boundary, including branch-only execution, vaulted credentials, sandboxed actions, and in-VPC inference.
- Mentor engineers transitioning to agent-directed delivery and contribute to reusable engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals in data structures, systems design, testing, and reading unfamiliar code.
- Demonstrated experience shipping production software while owning quality, diagnosis, and remediation.
- Hands-on experience directing coding agents on production work and critically reviewing their failure modes and generated code.
- Demonstrated code-review competence, including finding defects automated tests miss and providing actionable feedback.
- High autonomy, proactive issue escalation, and the ability to work without step-by-step direction.
- Preferred: experience shipping in FedRAMP, defense, financial services, healthcare, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, or HIPAA-regulated environments.
- Preferred: depth in evaluation authoring or test-first development within a rigorous engineering culture.
- Preferred: sufficient full-stack range to review front-end and back-end output.
- Preferred: public-sector or govtech experience and familiarity with relevant end users.
