Responsibilities
- Lead and execute challenging, complex software projects within the Cloud Storage organization.
- Design and implement distributed full-stack systems and scale them to production.
- Define architecture, decompose complex problems, and make technical tradeoffs involving performance, maintainability, cost, and time-to-market.
- Build cloud-native and fault-tolerant services across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Contribute to detailed design, implementation, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, leadership, customers, stakeholders, and the broader engineering community.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud architectures and service-oriented or cloud-native services on at least one hyperscaler.
- Strong experience with one or more of Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
- Experience designing and building end-to-end systems and customer-facing products, APIs, or SDKs used at scale.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- BTech/BE in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience with 12 to 18 years of experience.
- Front-end experience with TypeScript, React, or Angular is a plus.
- Preferred experience includes data analytics, data migration systems, storage platforms, filesystems, and NFS, SMB, or iSCSI protocols.
- Prior experience as a technical lead in a high-performance engineering organization.
- Strong technical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and leadership.
