Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-service Member Records initiatives from discovery through production.
- Set multi-quarter technical direction for Member Records with engineering and product leadership.
- Build and maintain user interfaces, backend services, APIs, data models, integrations, and production software.
- Establish technical patterns for testing, observability, secure handling of member data, performance, and availability.
- Integrate and leverage AI technologies to automate processes and enhance product features.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, coaching, and support for greater technical ownership.
- Raise engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, hiring participation, and technical leadership.
- Define health metrics, improve incident response, and address operational root causes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 9+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production software.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript and modern React application development.
- 3+ years of backend experience with Node.js, service development, API design, and integration patterns.
- At least 1 year of experience mentoring and leading junior team members, collaborating cross-functionally, and contributing to planning and decision-making.
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
- Preferred qualifications include strong full-stack and backend experience, RDBMS experience, exposure to microservices, distributed systems, and containerization, and ownership of features through technical design, launch, and production support.
- Preferred candidates understand software engineering fundamentals including testing, observability, performance, availability, secure development practices, and clear communication with technical and non-technical partners.
