Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve operational stability.
- Lead evaluations of external vendors, startups, and internal teams’ architectural designs and technical capabilities.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and promote adoption of emerging technologies.
- Apply system design, application development, testing, and operational stability practices across technical areas.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 8+ years of applied experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, automation, continuous delivery, and operational stability.
- Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and cloud-native technology.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry technology and IT systems.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS data sources, SecDB, Athena, Quartz, macro trading, React.js, Node.js, distributed computing, data modeling, performance engineering, and regression testing.
