Base Salary
$104k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical roadmap, engineering standards, architecture, and core technology adoption.
- Serve as the final authority on critical design decisions, quality gates, and performance budgets.
- Prototype foundational systems, conduct high-level code reviews, and resolve high-risk architectural challenges.
- Mentor engineering team members and promote technical rigor and continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural risks.
- Design scalable integrations and multi-facility data exchange for hospital information systems and transfusion workflows.
- Align technical architecture with regulatory and commercial objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a Principal or Architect role.
- Expertise in C# or other object-oriented languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, service-oriented and event-driven architecture, high availability, containerization, SQL, NoSQL, and related architectural practices.
- Experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, SQS, and CloudFormation, as well as Terraform.
- Experience with OWASP best practices, OIDC, SAML2, SOC2, ISO27001, and HIPAA compliance.
- A proven record of shipping multiple complex products with stable, maintainable architectures.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineers and executive leadership.
- Ability to balance immediate production needs with long-term architectural health.
