Responsibilities
- Design and implement an Internal Developer Platform with self-service infrastructure scaffolding and deployment capabilities.
- Maintain and scale multi-region Azure/AKS environments using Terraform, Terragrunt, and ArgoCD.
- Implement observability with Datadog and collaborate on SLIs, SLOs, and service reliability improvements.
- Build Python- or Go-based AI agents and automation tools to reduce operational toil.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead root cause analysis, and convert incidents into platform improvements.
- Contribute to code reviews, mentorship, documentation, deployment standards, and security patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience with knowledge of the software development lifecycle, system design, and clean code principles.
- At least 7 years of platform engineering experience running large-scale production environments.
- Proficiency in Python or Go for automation, tool building, and AI agent integration.
- Experience managing Kubernetes and AKS environments and using Terraform or Terragrunt for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Internal Developer Platforms, such as Backstage, internal CLI tools, or custom portals, is preferred.
- Experience defining SLIs/SLOs, implementing ArgoCD and Kyverno, building Agentic AI tools, and using Datadog is preferred.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead team-wide technical initiatives.
