Responsibilities
- Contribute to platform features across compute, authentication, service discovery, observability, and redundancy.
- Implement scalable architectural solutions while considering cost, maintenance, and operational tradeoffs.
- Support and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Deploy and maintain Ripple’s multi-region, multi-provider service platforms with a focus on security and reliability.
- Build automation, monitoring, and instrumentation tooling to reduce operational friction.
- Contribute to platform and application lifecycle services and automated, data-driven workflows.
- Participate in technical discussions and apply DevOps and GitOps principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience with a software development background in Go, Python, or Java.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices and system design.
- Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Rancher, and containerization for distributed services.
- Experience contributing to deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools.
- Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Exposure to Prometheus and OpenTelemetry observability platforms and monitoring SLOs/SLIs.
- Strong collaboration, customer service orientation, relationship-building, and written and verbal communication skills.
