Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, and support embedded web components and hosted partner-branded sites in production.
- Direct AI coding agents as a primary implementation method by decomposing features and writing effective prompts and specifications.
- Make architecture decisions involving interfaces, APIs, state and service boundaries, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Design software for hostile host pages, unfamiliar partner configurations, and unexpected API clients.
- Use AI to generate tests and regression coverage, then identify adversarial inputs, integration conflicts, configuration edge cases, and false confidence.
- Assess multi-tenant blast radius before merging changes and remain accountable for production software after release.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production web software with ownership after launch.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript experience across browser and server environments.
- Experience with React and Node, or deep expertise in a comparable ecosystem with the ability to learn new stacks quickly.
- Experience building component libraries, design systems, or SDKs consumed by other teams where breaking changes carry meaningful cost.
- Server-side or full-stack web experience involving Node services, APIs, and customer-facing integrations.
- Practical awareness of injection and XSS risks, authentication and session handling, dependency risk, and safe handling of sensitive data.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automated test and build tooling.
- Fluent use of AI coding assistants and the ability to evaluate AI-generated code, prompts, tests, security issues, and architectural decisions.
- Strong architecture and system-design judgment and calibrated skepticism about AI limitations.
