Responsibilities
- Design scalable Java and Spring Boot microservice applications for asset and wealth management capabilities.
- Implement Kafka-based event-driven processing for portfolios, transactions, pricing feeds, trading, order management, and reporting workflows.
- Develop responsive React and JavaScript dashboards and client-facing financial interfaces.
- Create and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and MySQL queries, schemas, and data controls for financial datasets.
- Integrate and operate microservices with AWS cloud services for availability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource use.
- Collaborate with product owners and domain experts to convert business requirements into technical designs.
- Improve application performance and security through profiling, secure coding, and bottleneck resolution.
- Implement unit, integration, and contract testing for backend and frontend components.
- Conduct code reviews and promote maintainable architectures and coding practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and traces, and document system designs, APIs, and data flows.
- Coordinate with DevOps and cloud engineers on CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and AWS deployments.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions, technical planning, and incremental delivery activities.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices for enterprise financial systems.
- Hands-on Kafka experience building event-driven pipelines.
- Advanced React and JavaScript experience developing browser-based portfolio, onboarding, and advisory tools.
- Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and MySQL experience including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity controls.
- Practical AWS experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling microservices and web applications.
- Experience in asset and wealth management, including portfolios, instruments, orders, settlements, and client lifecycle processes.
- Familiarity with secure coding standards and regulatory expectations for financial technology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
