Base Salary
$157k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve enterprise-wide identity and access management architecture, standards, and reference implementations.
- Design and drive adoption of authentication and federation solutions including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, FIDO2, WebAuthn, and Passkeys.
- Establish secure user and service-to-service authorization patterns using JWT, mTLS, adaptive access, and Zero Trust principles.
- Automate identity lifecycle management through SCIM and federated identity models.
- Influence technical direction across multiple teams through design and code reviews, platform guidance, and engineering standards.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with security, product, and platform leaders on roadmaps, quality, reliability, and security checkpoints.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- 5+ years as a technical lead or architect owning end-to-end identity or access management designs.
- Deep expertise in IAM technologies and standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM.
- Experience designing secure authentication, authorization, and federation solutions across distributed, hybrid-cloud, multi-cloud, or SaaS environments.
- Ability to influence technical strategy, establish engineering standards, and lead collaboratively across teams and platforms.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures, RBAC, ABAC, identity verification, risk-based authentication, or trust signals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in security-sensitive or regulated environments is preferred.
