Responsibilities
- Wrap perception ML models into reliable production services for welding robots.
- Build gRPC/Protobuf service interfaces with rigorous schema versioning.
- Own deployment infrastructure, including containerization and GPU memory management.
- Build observability and telemetry pipelines to surface perception failures.
- Design data pipelines for active learning and data ingestion.
- Establish software best practices and mentor mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production backend systems in Python.
- Expertise in architecture, concurrency, performance, and API design.
- Deep experience with gRPC/Protobuf services and schema evolution.
- Hands-on experience with containerized deployment and GPU compute.
- Experience building developer tools for ML, CV, or research teams.
- Comfortable with ML and computer vision workflows.
