Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of complex full-stack software projects and application integrations.
  • Diagnose technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support production incidents and on-call coverage.
  • Conduct code, design, documentation, system integration, and automation testing reviews.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, test plans, user manuals, and implementation plans.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Estimate work, refine and prioritize product backlogs, evaluate technologies, and improve engineering processes and platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or information systems, or five additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least five years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in writing reliable, testable, maintainable, and performant code and in multiple industry-adopted programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Python, JSON, XML, HTML5, REST and/or SOAP APIs, SQL, Power BI, and Power Query.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies, with experience in enterprise-level programs and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to explain solution architecture and technology choices to enterprise architects and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, coaching, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and application, network, and infrastructure cybersecurity risk management.
  • Financial-services experience or understanding is a plus; fluent English is required.
