Base Salary
$107k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed microservice components for Addepar’s data-intensive calculation engine.
- Scale the Java-based calculation engine to support workloads 100 times larger using time-series analytics database technologies.
- Evaluate scalability decisions across data consistency, throughput, speed, operability, and cost.
- Profile and improve efficiency in a highly concurrent platform.
- Develop tooling and CI/CD systems that support the calculation-engine infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages.
- Familiarity with Java, Python, SQL, SQS, relational databases, key-value stores, and Kubernetes.
- Linux proficiency, basic shell scripting, and systems-level programming understanding are a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyze complex problems from multiple perspectives.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship and able to begin work in the U.S. on the first day.
