Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions for Sift’s platform and customers.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve application performance and reliability.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for proactive issue identification and resolution.
- Automate deployment processes and streamline infrastructure management using DevOps tools.
- Evolve backend architecture and infrastructure for cloud and on-premise deployments.
- Help set and prioritize the infrastructure roadmap to maximize customer impact.
- Lead initiatives improving infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant distributed systems experience focused on designing and managing cloud-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
- Experience building and operating developer productivity tools, frameworks, and platform engineering systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
- Knowledge of automated testing practices and frameworks for integration, performance, and end-to-end testing in distributed systems.
- Experience with Go, Java, React, TypeScript, Kafka/Redpanda, Flink, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform/CDK, or equivalent distributed systems experience.
- Knowledge of cloud, on-premise, networking, and service architecture in multi-region, multi-cloud environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions in an ambiguous, high-ownership startup environment.
- U.S. Person status is required for ITAR/EAR compliance.
