Responsibilities
- Manage and scale Teleport infrastructure for secure access to servers, databases, and Kubernetes clusters.
- Develop and maintain automated AWS IAM workflows and Just-In-Time access solutions.
- Maintain Terraform infrastructure for access-related components and integrate security policies into provisioning processes.
- Automate authorization flows and translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Support internal and external audits with technical evidence, identify access gaps, and drive remediation initiatives.
- Create monitors and alerts for access patterns and diagnose authentication and authorization issues.
- Independently lead technical projects, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and improve team tools, code quality, security awareness, and monitoring.
- Stay on top of incidents, generate learnings, address technical debt, and provide domain-wide technical leadership.
Requirements
- Production expertise with AWS, especially IAM, Organizations, and multi-account security.
- Hands-on experience with access-management tools, preferably Teleport or comparable PAM/JIT solutions.
- Strong Terraform experience for managing cloud resources and security policies.
- Solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals, including OIDC, SAML, SSH, TLS, and TCP/IP.
- Programming experience in Go and/or Python for automating security workflows.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and the ability to convert audit requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes from an access and RBAC perspective.
- Ability to lead technical projects independently, communicate with engineering audiences, mentor engineers, and work autonomously.
