Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and develop the on-premise environment.
- Execute daily operations to keep production systems running efficiently.
- Develop Python scripts and automation for permanent operational solutions.
- Develop and maintain configuration management solutions and task schedulers.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of systems and applications.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an SRE or Platform Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with self-hosted Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Ceph storage, including block storage and S3, and ZFS.
- Knowledge of monitoring and performance analysis technologies such as InfluxDB, LGTM Stack, and ELK Stack.
- Deep knowledge of Ansible and Terraform.
- Solid understanding of networking and routing technologies such as BGP; Fortigate is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization environments such as Proxmox and OpenStack.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies is a plus.
- Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
- An open-minded, creative, and problem-solving approach using open-source solutions.
