Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and develop the company’s on-premise environment.
- Execute daily operations to keep production systems running efficiently.
- Develop Python scripts and automation for permanent operational solutions.
- Develop and maintain configuration management solutions and task schedulers.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or Platform Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with self-hosted Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with Ceph storage, including block storage and S3, and ZFS.
- Knowledge of monitoring and performance analysis using technologies such as InfluxDB, the LGTM Stack, and the ELK Stack.
- Deep knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Solid understanding of networking and routing technologies such as BGP; FortiGate experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization environments such as Proxmox and OpenStack.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies is a plus.
- Fluent English is required; German language skills are a plus.
- An open-minded and creative approach to problem-solving with open-source-based solutions.
