Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical designs.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, code reviews, and technical decision-making for scalable web services and SaaS products.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing standard operating procedures, and enhancing existing applications.
- Maintain existing codebases, review code changes, investigate relevant technologies, and support technical customer questions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to implement technical designs and deliver project outcomes.
- Mentor less experienced developers and lead or participate in additional engineering projects.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience in Java full-stack development.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Experience developing systems and software for large business environments.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit testing, test-driven development, functional testing, and performance testing.
- Experience with database systems and data architecture, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Knowledge of shell scripting and software security-enhancing tools and practices.
- Experience or interest in React, Pulsar, Snowflake, cloud, DevOps, AI modernization, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Ability to translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, customer-focus, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
