Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture for complex customer transformation programs.
- Design scalable multi-cluster, multi-tenant, highly available, secure, and resilient Nutanix Kubernetes Platform architectures.
- Advise executives, enterprise architects, infrastructure leaders, and platform engineering teams on cloud-native adoption and transformation roadmaps.
- Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery, design reviews, implementation oversight, troubleshooting, and delivery governance.
- Define enterprise automation, GitOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, platform engineering, and developer experience strategies.
- Establish security, governance, observability, logging, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and operational models.
- Create reference architectures, reusable delivery patterns, technical playbooks, and consulting assets.
- Mentor Staff and Consulting Architects, lead technical forums, and develop internal technical enablement programs.
- Represent the consulting organization in customer discussions, technical communities, industry events, and thought-leadership activities.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Support, and other technical teams to influence product direction.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience across infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, Kubernetes, platform engineering, or related technologies.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale enterprise Kubernetes platforms, including multi-cluster, highly available, resilient, and secure environments.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, operations, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, networking, storage, security, ingress/egress, and load balancing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, bare-metal infrastructure, enterprise compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and security.
- Strong experience with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform or equivalent enterprise Kubernetes platforms.
- Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD and GitOps platforms and strong expertise with Terraform and Ansible.
- Deep expertise in load balancers, SSL/TLS, certificate management, LDAP/Active Directory, DNS, backup and disaster recovery, and enterprise observability.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, infrastructure, and automation APIs, plus experience troubleshooting across Kubernetes, virtualization, networking, storage, automation, and application platform layers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical engagements, make architecture decisions, communicate with executives, and influence without direct authority.
- Preferred experience includes Azure Kubernetes Service, Amazon EKS, hybrid and multi-cloud architecture, fleet management, platform engineering, service mesh, GPU-enabled Kubernetes, AI/ML platforms, operators, application modernization, FinOps, and cloud cost optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline; a relevant master's degree is advantageous.
- Preferred certifications include CKA, CKAD, NCP, NKP, NCX, VCP, VCAP/VCIX, Terraform Associate or equivalent, Ansible Automation certification, and relevant AWS or Azure certifications.
