Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architecture for complex enterprise Kubernetes and cloud-native transformation programs.
- Architect large-scale Nutanix Kubernetes Platform environments, including multi-cluster, multi-tenant, highly available, secure, and resilient platforms.
- Define platform, networking, storage, virtualization, security, governance, observability, backup, disaster recovery, and operational architectures.
- Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery, design reviews, transformation planning, implementation oversight, and senior technical escalations.
- Establish enterprise automation, GitOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, platform engineering, self-service infrastructure, and developer experience practices.
- Create reference architectures, reusable delivery patterns, technical playbooks, enablement programs, and consulting assets.
- Mentor Staff Consulting Architects, Consulting Architects, and technical consultants while serving as a technical authority for the consulting organization.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Support, customers, and industry communities to provide technical input and thought leadership.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience across infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, Kubernetes, platform engineering, or related technologies.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale enterprise Kubernetes platforms, including multi-cluster, highly available, resilient, and secure environments.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, operations, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, networking, storage, security, ingress/egress, and load balancing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, bare-metal infrastructure, enterprise infrastructure architecture, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD and GitOps platforms and working with Kubernetes, infrastructure, and automation APIs.
- Expertise in load balancers, SSL/TLS, certificate management, LDAP/Active Directory, DNS, backup and disaster recovery, and enterprise observability.
- Ability to lead complex technical engagements, architecture decisions, executive discussions, and customer-facing consulting activities.
- Experience with AKS, Amazon EKS, hybrid and multi-cloud architecture, fleet management, platform engineering, service meshes, GPU-enabled Kubernetes, AI/ML platforms, operators, application modernization, FinOps, or product strategy is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline is required; a relevant master's degree and listed professional certifications are preferred.
- Excellent consulting, presentation, executive communication, mentoring, technical leadership, and influence-without-authority skills.
