Base Salary
$200k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop LLM/NLU systems to extract information from clinical notes and medical documents, classify patients by level of care, and generate recommendations.
- Establish best practices, benchmarking and evaluation frameworks, and model governance for reliable, maintainable, and scalable AI systems.
- Build and operationalize scalable data pipelines for analyzing medical records while maintaining privacy and security standards.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate AI/ML capabilities into the Onos platform.
- Develop systems that ingest medical standards of care and evaluate provider adherence to guidelines.
- Design explainable AI solutions that provide transparency into model decisions for healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying production applications in a backend engineering or data engineering capacity.
- Experience developing LLM-based systems for ingesting and evaluating unstructured, industry-specific records and integrating them with user-facing features.
- Deep understanding of LLM limitations and best practices for producing reliable, consistent, and accurate outputs.
- Strong collaboration skills and a focus on customer outcomes and measurable results.
- Preferred experience evaluating medical records against assessment or authorization criteria.
- Preferred experience as a generalist backend engineer working across multiple responsibilities.
- Preferred experience with data pipelines, Python, and related data science or ML libraries.
- Preferred significant healthcare-data experience and HIPAA best practices knowledge.
- Preferred knowledge of modern LLM/ML infrastructure and MLOps best practices.
